First Visit

Start with a low-pressure first visit.

A first visit is a chance to see the space, ask questions and decide what feels possible. There is no pressure to join in straight away. Visitors do not need to pay in order to explore The Manor and see our offerings.

Before you visit

A few things that help us prepare

  • Tell us who the visit is for
  • Share anything that may help us prepare
  • Let us know if they prefer quiet, space or watching first
  • Tell us if a parent, carer or support worker will attend
  • Ask any questions in advance

During the visit

Four gentle steps

  1. 1

    Arrive calmly

    A quiet welcome. No rush.

  2. 2

    See the space

A short tour of the areas and activities.

  3. 3

    Try, watch or pause

Whatever feels possible on the day.

  4. 4

    Agree the next step

A suitable session, group or another visit.

What if they do not join in?

That is okay.

Looking around, finding the quiet space, asking one question or deciding to come back another day can still be a positive first step.
